Save More Marketplace is on the lookout for a dedicated Fresh Food Supervisor to join our team! Since 1959, we have been committed to providing our community with the freshest quality foods and unmatched customer service. In this role, you will assist in overseeing daily operations within the fresh foods department, which includes the Deli and Bakery sections. Your leadership skills will help ensure product quality, compliance with food safety standards, and a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Fresh Foods Manager in managing day-to-day operations and staff supervision.
  • Coordinate the preparation and presentation of fresh food items, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stock control, while minimizing waste.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols in all department activities.
  • Engage with customers, providing assistance and recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate team members in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist in the implementation of promotions and visual merchandising to drive sales.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a fresh food environment is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
