Job Description
We are seeking a Front Desk Admin to join our afterschool tutoring center. This vital front-facing role is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting students and families, and assisting the tutoring staff behind the scenes.
The ideal candidate is friendly, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. You'll serve as the first point of contact for parents, manage student check-ins and check-outs, support administrative tasks, and help create a positive and professional learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist students and parents in a warm, professional manner
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails promptly and courteously
Manage student schedules, including changes, cancellations, and reminders
Check students in and out of tutoring sessions using our tracking system
Track and take payments from families, including issuing receipts and updating records
Support instructors by grading worksheets and organizing student materials
Create, file, and maintain physical and digital documents
Monitor and manage student behavior in the waiting area as needed
Help resolve scheduling or customer service issues with a solution-oriented mindset
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area
Qualifications:
Prior experience in customer service, receptionist, or educational support roles
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Basic classroom management or youth supervision experience preferred
Comfortable using computers, printers, and standard office software
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset
Work Hours:
Part-time (Typical shifts are weekday afternoons and early evenings)
