Description The Front Desk Receptionist & Mailroom Manager is responsible for the front desk reception area, managing all switchboard duties and the mailroom, and providing general information to callers as well as students, faculty, and staff, and assisting the Schedule Coordinator with lobby traffic flow management. Reporting to the Housing Director, this position also assists in various other administrative duties. Responsibilities Manage all switchboard duties, including redirecting phone calls to appropriate staff and answering any calls or emails to the informational AMFS phone line and email address. Work with the Schedule Coordinator to manage lobby traffic flow. Work with the AMFS Box Office to reserve and print tickets for students, faculty, and staff. Manage the organization of the AMFS mailroom, and manage the sorting and distribution of student, faculty, and staff mail, packages, and payments. Hire, schedule, and manage the AMFS mailroom student workers. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Excellent customer service and professionalism is imperative. Needs to be organized, maintain a strong work ethic, and pay attention to detail. Flexibility and a keen attention to accommodating and supporting different perspectives and personalities. Basic computer skills required, preferably experienced with Microsoft Office. Experience with ArtsVision is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided as necessary. Knowledge of classical music and/or experience in school administration a plus. Dates June 8, 2026 – August 23, 2026 This position is expected to work M-F from 8:30am-5:00pm and Saturday, 8:30am-4:00pm. Front Desk Hours Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday, 9am-4pm Sunday, CLOSED. Mailroom Operating Hours Monday – Friday, 12pm-5pm Saturday, 12pm-3pm Sunday, CLOSED. Compensation $22/hour. Overtime $33/hour. Benefits include AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
