The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer support and ensuring the smooth operation of daily front desk activities. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel or taking messages as necessary.
- Schedule appointments, preparing patient records and maintaining an organized calendar for staff members.
- Perform office management tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Assist with proofreading documents to ensure accuracy before distribution.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information as a Medical Receptionist when needed, including questions regarding insurance benefits.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with company policies.
- Support customer service efforts by addressing client concerns and providing solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency.
- Optical duties include ordering, verifying, and dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses, assisting patients in frame and lens selection based on fit, style, and prescription needs, making minor frame adjustments and/or repairs, and placing/tracking orders
- Other duties may include verifying glasses prescriptions, pre-screening patients prior to their eye exams, and taking retinal or other diagnostic images.
- Maintain a clean and organized office.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in calendar management and office management practices.
- Experience in proofreading documents for clarity and accuracy.
- Prior experience in optometry, medical front desk, or optical sales is a plus, but not required - we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a corporate or healthcare setting.
- Excellent customer support skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
