Overview At Kind Lending, our family of diverse and talented Kind Ambassadors are the driving force behind our new approach to the mortgage experience. They are the heart and soul of the organization, and our "People Before Profits" mentality shines through in every department. Kind Lending is growing and is looking for top mortgage professionals who value opportunity, lasting business partnerships, and who live out our KIND mindset. We are determined to provide the best service in the industry while also offering homebuyers a great selection of products to enhance their buying experience. Our friendly and professional model puts the “fun” in funding. Position Summary Kind Lending is automating the loan lifecycle end to end — from broker‑initiated change requests through automated underwriting, condition clearing, CD delivery, and closing docs. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will own delivery of automation features that connect our Blue Sage loan origination system, our Kwikie broker portal, and third‑party services like Gateless. You will ship production code daily, with AI coding agents as your primary multiplier. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain full stack features across the broker portal and LOS — APIs, integrations, event‑driven back‑end automation, and the front‑end surfaces that expose them. Deliver automation for high‑impact lending workflows: change of circumstance, re‑disclosures, condition clearing, CD and closing document automation. Design and consume RESTful APIs and manage third‑party service connections (LOS, AUS, pricing, verification, and appraisal vendors). Partner with product owners, business analysts, and Ops/Sales UAT testers in fast pilot‑driven release cycles; fix issues as pilots expand. Participate in code reviews — both human‑written and AI‑generated code — and hold the quality bar in a regulated environment. AI‑Assisted Development (Required) Kind Lending’s technology team builds AI‑first. This is not a preference; it is how the team works every day. To be considered, you must: Use AI coding tools daily (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent) as a core part of your workflow — not as an occasional autocomplete. Demonstrate the ability to decompose work into well‑structured prompts and agentic tasks, then critically review, test, and harden AI‑generated code before it ships. Show measurable productivity gains from AI‑assisted development (be prepared to walk through real examples in the interview, including a live AI‑paired coding exercise). Maintain sound judgment about where AI accelerates work and where human review is mandatory, especially in a regulated lending environment. Build internal agentic workflows where appropriate (e.g., AI‑driven document review, condition analysis) not just use AI to write code, but ship AI into the product. Qualifications Required 5+ years of professional full stack development (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Angular, Node.js, Python, Java, or C#/.NET; SQL). Extensive experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third‑party services. Cloud experience in AWS and/or Azure (Lambda/Functions, queues, containers, CI/CD). Daily, demonstrable use of AI coding tools — see AI‑Assisted Development above. This requirement is absolute. Preferred Qualifications Mortgage technology experience strongly preferred: LOS platforms (Blue Sage, Encompass, MeridianLink), broker portals, AUS (DU/LP), pricing engines (Optimal Blue), or doc‑prep/disclosure systems. Working knowledge of the mortgage lifecycle and the regulatory context around it (TRID, change of circumstance, re‑disclosure timing, LE/CD). Experience with Gateless, Cotality, or similar automated underwriting / appraisal review tooling. Pay Disclosure The starting base pay for this position is $135k/annually. The actual base is dependent on many factors such as work experience, business needs, market demands, and other compensation components. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
