Frontend Engineer II, Amazon Data Firehose Job ID: 2837267 | Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. We are hiring engineers for the Amazon Firehose Team. The team owns all aspects of the Firehose service, including requirements, architecture, design & development, quality assurance, deployment, and operations. As an engineer in this team, you will learn the ins and outs of building a highly available, scalable, distributed, and secure system that uses all the modern cloud computing paradigms, techniques, and tools. Solving problems at AWS scale You will build and operate the next generation of a real-time data delivery and ingestion engine, Amazon Data Firehose, the defacto service to consume and deliver streaming data to numerous AWS and 3rd party destinations. This is a truly unique role where you’ll build a brand new service that requires partnering with multiple teams that cut across all of AWS and 3rd party vendors. It’s humbling and energizing to build, invent, influence, scale, and simplify software that numerous services depend on at AWS scale. Key job responsibilities Help define front end architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience. Contribute to defining best practices for front end development. Collaborate with UX Designers and Product Managers. Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of an autonomous team. Write high-quality, efficient, testable code. Mentor and support the growth of other developers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 4+ years of agile software development methodology experience. - Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
