JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:

The Full Cycle RCM Supervisor for ABA Services oversees the entire revenue cycle process for ABA therapy, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in billing and collections. This will be a *working* leadership role with an emphasis on full-cycle billing, to include supervising a team of specialists, assisting with the prioritization of daily tasks, and collaborating with clinical teams to optimize revenue capture. The supervisor will be involved in streamlining workflows, team communication, and providing training to ensure the team meets departmental goals, and other duties as assigned.

Key Priorities:

Team Supervision & Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise a team of RCM specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Assign tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure timely and accurate completion of all billing and collections activities.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.

Revenue Cycle Management:

  • Oversee various aspects of the revenue cycle, insurance verification, claims submission, payment posting, and denial management.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures designed to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the revenue cycle process.
  • Ensure compliance with all payer requirements, coding regulations, and company policies.

Denial Management & Appeals:

  • Analyze and oversee the resolution of claim denials, rejections, and underpayments.
  • Adhering to the strategies for reducing denial rates and improving overall revenue capture.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of appeals, working with payers to overturn denials and secure reimbursement.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Authorization & Compliance:

  • Supervise the authorization process, ensuring timely and accurate submission and follow-up.
  • Monitor compliance with payer requirements, including timely filing limits, documentation standards, and coding accuracy.
  • Work closely with clinical teams to ensure documentation supports billing and compliance needs.

Patient & Family Support:

  • Mentoring team-members in the process of assisting families with understanding their insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and payment options. - Ensure the team provides high-quality customer service, addressing billing-related inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management, with preferred experience in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of ABA therapy billing, payer requirements, and authorization processes.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing all aspects of the revenue cycle in a healthcare setting. Skills:
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of all facets of RCM including claims submission, payment posting, and denial management, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Proficiency in using billing software, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Working Conditions:

  • Prefer a locally based candidate but open to fully remote status for the right fit
  • Regular interaction with various departments, including clinical, administrative, and financial teams.
  • Occasional extended hours may be required to meet deadlines or resolve complex issues.
