We are an integral part of Crane NXT, a c$2 billion dollar business with over 5,000 associates Summary:Software Developer III (Senior) will integrate primarily with the software development teams for both Logan Manufacturing and Operations as well as Traceology. This includes writing Python/React code to support the Shop Floor Control product(s) (SFC, My Number Tracker, Design Study Tool, Vortex, etc) and Traceology, collaborating with others in the team, and driving value-added application development to support both the current customers, future customers, and the business.As this is a small team, breadth of role brings in some architecture, testing, and devops responsibilities.Key Accountabilities:Individual:Programming (50%)Use programming language to develop codeDebugging codeWrite / execute automated tests (integration and unit tests)Write database queries to manage database data (complex read/joins, inserts, etc) for data driven applicationsDocument the software development processDesign/implement complex user interfaces that emphasize best practices in UI/UXDesign and develop quality, maintainable, complex softwareDrive incremental delivery of software that has the highest value and address areas of most risk in a timely mannerWork across the multi-disciplinary teamContinue to drive improvementsPromote knowledge sharing across the teamProvide subject matter expertise to support effective decision makingSupport, instill and follow the governance and operational disciplinesTesting (35%)Perform code reviews for other team membersPerform validation testing to ensure bugs are caught before deployment occursArchitecture (10%)Make architectural decisions to promote industry best practice, scalability, usability, and securityDevOps (5%)Deploy code using industry best practices (configuration as code, CI/CD, etc)Ensure application configuration to maximize uptimeFacilitate customer/application interactions as neededEncourage customer communications of expected downtimes, software deployments and release notesRetrospective corrections and corrective actions for crashes, instability, or unavailability of the applicationDivisional AuthenticationSupport the Divisional leadership team, executing the strategy for Authentication in terms of the core GRS and Brand Protection propositionsProvide subject matter expertise to support effective decision makingProvide input as required to the annual strategic planning cycleSupport and follow the governance and operational disciplines applicable across the divisionCommon to all rolesTo ensure full participation in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain an up-to-date record of all training and development activities/programsTo always act and behave in a way compliant with all De La Rue company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to values and behaviors, environmental health and safety, ethics and codes of conduct, as it is through living our values that we strengthen the culture of our business and demonstrate our understanding of our Code of Business Principles.
