Description The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Full Stack Developer to work in our Lorton, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the HEITS/DHS mission.The developer would be responsible for technical planning, application software design, development and integration, and application support.   They would evaluate alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Duties include performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance. Influences development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results. Recommends and develops new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of function’s strategy and operations. Resolves highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation.  Develops solutions that are highly innovative and achieved through research and integration of best practices. Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsure day to day operations of the development and production environmentsDeploying applications to different DHS networksAssist in Tier 2 and 3 ticketsWork with development on infrastructure updates to the applicationParticipate in the shaping of requirements for upgrades to the applicationsPatching of serversPerforming STIG work to development and production serversInstallation of certificates to development and production systemsCreating / updating documentation or SOPs for processes involving deployments and maintenance of application serversParticipate in general Agile daily scrumsWork with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Master to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use casesSupport the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practicesCommunicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activitiesApply and identify best practices and standard operating proceduresBasic QualificationsBS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience5+ years of general development experience2+ years using database toolsMust have excellent communications and documentation skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate problemsAbility to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project. Works to convince others to accept area’s view/current practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices and approaches. In-depth understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts and their application across range of programs. Serves as a subject matter expert within technical domain area.
