ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN is seeking a highly resourceful and innovative PHP Web Developer for a Direct-Hire, 100% on-site role in Lone Tree, CO. The PHP Web Developer must have a strong background in building web applications and optimizing back-end systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP development (7/8), with previous experience developing commercial-grade web applications. The PHP Web Developer should have extensive experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and MySQL database management. In this role, you will design, develop, and enhance customer-facing web applications, focusing on performance, scalability, and clean code practices.
- Develop and implement new features and functionality for customer-centric aviation applications.
- Maintain and optimize existing products, applying best practices in PHP (versions 7 and 8) development.
- Actively participate in all stages of the product lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and support.
- Conduct in-depth investigations, code reviews, and ensure the highest quality of code.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and front-end developers, to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continually improve development processes.

- Proven expertise in building dynamic and scalable web applications with advanced PHP (OOP) skills, optimizing performance, and adhering to best coding practices.

- Extensive experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, ensuring responsive design and seamless user experiences across multiple devices.
- Database Mastery
- Deep understanding of MySQL database architecture, specializing in schema design, complex query optimization, and high-performance tuning.
- Version Control
- Hands-on experience with Git and SVN for streamlined source code management, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows.
- Analytical Problem-Solving
- Strong aptitude for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues with a meticulous, data-driven approach and a focus on delivering robust solutions.

- Advanced Backend Technologies
- Experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL/PostGIS for enhanced backend capabilities and geospatial data management.
