Full-Stack Software Developer – API Integration

Job Introduction:

Our client is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer with a strong focus on API development and system integrations. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level engineer who enjoys building and connecting systems that power critical business operations. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs and integration solutions that enable seamless communication between internal applications, third-party platforms, and enterprise systems.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives in backend development, understands middleware and database structures, and wants to grow into a subject matter expert in integration architecture. You’ll contribute to high-impact initiatives including new system implementations, platform enhancements, and enterprise-wide data flow improvements.

Location: Commerce, CA (Onsite Monday–Friday)

Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $140,000 base salary

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable APIs to integrate internal systems with third-party and SaaS platforms
• Build and enhance middleware solutions to support data transformation and communication across POS, ERP, HRIS, cloud, and on-prem applications
• Develop backend services and integration logic using JavaScript, Node.js, and/or Python while supporting light front-end interaction layers
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize API performance to ensure reliability and minimal operational disruption
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements and support new system rollouts and enhancements

What Gets You the Job:

• 3–5 years of software development experience with a strong focus on API development and system integration
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript is required, with hands-on experience building APIs using Node.js and/or Python
• Solid understanding of RESTful services, JSON/XML, webhooks, and modern authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, API keys, etc.)
• Experience working with backend databases and understanding data structures, system dependencies, and integration patterns
• Familiarity with middleware or integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft or similar) is a plus
