Job Title: Full Stack Software Developer Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid - Remote with occasional onsite support as needed) Duration: Up to5 Years Job Description: The Client is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, testing, deployment, and maintenance of modern web-based applications and backend services supporting the Client. The Candidate will work within an Agile development environment utilizing Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS cloud technologies to deliver secure, scalable, maintainable, and production-ready software solutions. The Full Stack Software Developer will collaborate closely with the Client engineers, product owners, analysts, and stakeholders to continuously deliver working software through iterative development cycles while adhering to modern engineering practices, trunk-based development methodologies, and federal security standards. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and Docker. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, including validation, documentation, versioning, and error handling. Build responsive and Section 508-compliant user interfaces using ReactJS. Design and maintain PostgreSQL databases, data models, queries, and migrations. Participate in Agile sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement activities. Perform code reviews and contribute to trunk-based development workflows. Deploy and support containerized applications within AWS cloud environments. Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities. Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests. Monitor applications using AWS CloudWatch and related monitoring tools. Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, API documentation, and developer guides. Support knowledge transfer activities and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum 7 years of software development experience. Minimum 5 years of experience developing enterprise web applications using Python and JavaScript frameworks. Demonstrated experience with: Python FastAPI ReactJS PostgreSQL Docker Git-based source control Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS cloud environments. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Experience performing code reviews, testing, and continuous integration activities. Knowledge of secure coding practices and federal cybersecurity requirements. Desired Qualifications: Experience supporting federal government software development programs. Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, ECS, EKS, and CloudWatch. Familiarity with Terraform, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code concepts. Experience implementing Section 508 accessibility requirements. Experience supporting applications subject to NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and FISMA compliance requirements.
