The Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking full-time clinical faculty candidates to join our preclinical medical education team in the Department of Primary Care. Candidates having earned a DO (preferred) or MD with active Board Certification from the AOA or ABMS in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, OBGYN, Pediatrics, Geriatrics or other primary care specialities will be considered. We are particularly interested in candidates with a desire to contribute to preclinical medical education. The position requires 3 days a week (24 hours) in-person and additional 8 hours for off campus work. Candidates with experience or ability to demonstrate interest in integrating the biomedical sciences into an innovative case-based, clinically oriented, system-based preclinical curriculum will be considered. Knowledge and experience in Problem-Based, Case-based or Team-Based Learning are highly desirable.

Faculty members are integral to the preclinical curriculum development and delivery and will serve as Facilitators in Case-Based Learning (CBL), Clinical Skills, OSCE, OMM labs and Simulation Courses, as appropriate.

Please note that this is not a traditional teaching position. The curriculum features principles of self-directed learning, flipped classroom, minimal traditional lectures, spaced and spiraled learning. This is not a clinical position or related to third and fourth year clinical rotations.
