The Department of Specialty Medicine at the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking Board-Certified (AOA or ABMS) faculty with a strong commitment to preclinical education to join our team. Applicants should hold a DO (preferred) or MD, possess an active medical license, and be board-certified in a medical specialty (e.g., Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Emergency Medicine, Infectious Disease etc.) or surgical specialty. We are especially interested in individuals who bring a solid understanding of adult education and active learning methodologies. Faculty in this department contribute across disciplines and participate in all aspects of the preclinical curriculum. Knowledge and experience in Problem-Based, Case-based or Team-Based Learning are highly desirable.

This is a full-time position requiring 24 hours on campus and an additional 8 hours of off-campus work per week. Candidates with prior experience—or clear potential—for integrating biomedical sciences into an innovative, case-based, clinically oriented, and system-based curriculum are encouraged to apply.

All candidates are expected to become proficient facilitators and participate in the Case-Based Learning program, the cornerstone of our curriculum, Clinical Skills, OSCE, OMM labs and Simulation Courses, as appropriate.
