FULL-TIME SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER

**Hiring Immediately by February 30th, 2024**

Pay: $60,000 / Year

Type: Full-time Non-Exempt

Company: I'RAISE (www.iraiseinc.org)

Work Location: New York City. The commute is a part of the job, and you must go wherever is required by the organization within New York City (such as Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, etc). Two to three schools per week (1 school per 1 - 2 day) with consistent schedule and location*

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm ET, on weekend only as needed to support with company's event(s)

Essential functions:

  • Provide counseling to assigned youth through evidence-based interventions and culturally sensitive approaches
  • Develop treatment plans supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral goals
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments, evaluating mental, social, and functional capacity
  • Offer crisis intervention and mentoring for students; provide guidance to school personnel
  • Communicate and collaborate with school officials, parents, and guardians
  • Assist with parent and teacher workshops; participate in evaluation and placement of special needs students
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with families, facilitating social adjustment and utilizing community resources
  • Consult with administration and staff on social adjustment factors; counsel groups of students/parents
  • Develop and maintain written reports, records, and act as a case manager for designated students
  • Coordinate, develop, monitor, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Observe pupils in classrooms/playgrounds; supervise Social Work Interns
  • Maintain a caseload minimum for individual and group counseling per academic year
  • Attend agency community events and conduct home visits for high-risk clients
  • Engage in research and evaluation efforts, tracking clients' clinical and academic outcomes
  • Hybrid role during summer when DOE schools are closed; assume other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Must provide LMSW License (Licensed Master Social Worker)
  • Must provide LMSW Registration certificate
  • Must provide copy of MSW College Diploma
  • 2 years of social work experience (internships experiences counted / considered)
  • SIFI Certification preferred but not required

Full-time Employee Benefits:

  • Vacation 10 days for 1st & 2nd year, 14 days for 3rd year, 20 days for 4th year and onward, 6 days personal, 6 days sick, holidays, etc. Mental health days (1 day per month)
