Job Description:

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to develop test hardware and software for aviation test equipment products.
  • The engineer who fills this position must have design, development, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills for Automated Test Equipment / Production Test Equipment.

Core Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Design, develop and debug Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware and software solutions for characterization, qualification, and production release.
  • Work with design engineers in defining and developing test methodologies, test plans, test modes and Design-For-Test.
  • Define test schematics and review layout of printed circuit boards (PCB) for testing.
  • Debug test programs, correlate data, and optimize test time to support product production.
  • Develop ATE test solutions in LabVIEW or CVI/C/C++ language.
  • Support manufacturing for yield improvement, product transfer, failure analysis and test time reduction.
  • Manage and maintain projects milestones that aligns with product work plan and release dates.

Desired skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline is required.
  • 5+ Years Experience in relevant engineering role
  • Can read and develop electronic circuit diagrams
  • Be able to design and debug ATE circuit board and test circuits.
  • Familiar with analog and digital devices.
  • Strong CVI/C/C++ or LabVIEW object-oriented programming (OOP) skills
  • Strong background on electrical circuit analysis theory and design.
  • Know how to use lab instruments such as scope, meter, power supply, etc.
  • Be able to interpret data.
  • Experience with databases (MS Access or SQL)
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
