Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Sacramento, CA (with potential services at various locations across Northern California)

Employment Type: Full-time

Overview: We are seeking a Board Certified Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services in accordance with established guidelines for beneficiaries. The position involves both direct patient care and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Direct Patient Care (80%):

  • Evaluate patients to determine current levels of functioning and areas of impairment.
  • Develop treatment plans and measurable goals to restore function and minimize debilitation.
  • Implement occupational therapy plans to meet rehabilitation objectives.
  • Train patients and caregivers in the use of mobility devices and ensure proper fit.

• Administrative (20%):

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and staff meetings.
  • Complete quality assurance documentation and clinical records.
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Education/Training:

  • Mandatory training in VA Privacy & Information Security, HIPAA, and CPRS.

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the U.S.
  • Board Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

• Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of inpatient rehabilitation experience.
  • For outpatient rehabilitation, a minimum of one year of outpatient ortho and neuro experience.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Other Requirements:

• Tuberculosis and Rubella testing.
• Participation in seasonal influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination programs.
• Copies of current Continuing Medical Education (CME) or Certified Education Unit (CEU).
