Key Responsibilities
- Arrange and conduct funeral ceremonies according to family preferences.
- Provide assistance to families in selecting services and merchandise.
- Coordinate transportation and other logistical aspects of funeral services.
- Prepare and embalm the deceased as required by state regulations.
- Maintain thorough documentation and adherence to legal requirements.
- Support families before, during, and after the funeral with empathy.
- Lead staff training and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Valid Funeral Director License in the applicable state.
- Degree in mortuary science.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Empathetic approach with a passion for serving others.
- Familiarity with the funeral industry and regulations.
- Flexible schedule including availability for after-hours calls.
