Work Arrangement Location: Orion Assembly – Lake Orion, MI Function: Technical Support – General Assembly Operations Reporting To: Maintenance Shift Leader Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Orion, MI on a full-time basis. The Role The Tech Support role is responsible for delivering technical assistance for plant systems, equipment, and users while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of technology within the manufacturing environment. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Provide hands-on technical support for plant systems, equipment, networks, and user requests. Troubleshoot hardware, software, automation systems, and equipment-level networks. Conduct routine checks, tests, and verifications; evaluate results and recommend corrective actions. Assist in documentation, maintenance, and updating of technical procedures. Support preventative maintenance activities. Coordinate with Controls, Engineering, and Maintenance teams. Train personnel on technical issues. Assist in root-cause analysis. Maintain strong communication across teams. Enforce safe work practices. Work Schedule Must be willing to work any shift, including 2nd or 3rd. Overtime may be required. Key Skills (Required Qualifications) Experience in technical or maintenance support roles. Ability to diagnose equipment, system, network, or software issues. Ability to read/interpret technical documentation. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Understanding of plant safety standards. What Gives You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Requirements) Experience with automation or industrial control systems. Knowledge of Ethernet/IP. Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience. Strong analytical ability. Familiarity with GMS or similar methodologies.
