JOB TITLE: General Aircraft and Bench Test Mechanic - DEFENSE
LOCATION: Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA

PAY RATE: $47.78/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (3 years with potential for extension)

  • Security Clearance: Secret (Interim acceptable)

  • Shift: Second shift; training hours 6:00 AM 2:30 PM, transitioning to 2:00 PM 10:30 PM after training.

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Assemble, disassemble, modify, and upgrade aerospace vehicle components to correct failures and implement changes

  • Oversee assembly, disassembly, and overhaul activities

  • Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment

  • Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults

  • Perform validation and verification testing on systems and components

  • Document repairs, test results, modifications, and inspection outcomes to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance

  • Inspect components and verify flightworthiness requirements

  • Provide oversight and training support to team members

  • Work under general direction in a production and maintenance environment

Requirements:

  • Security Clearance: Secret (Interim acceptable)

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 4+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school or Associate degree with 2+ years, Bachelor's degree, etc.).

  • Carrying equipment, climbing ladders, working on top of aircraft in a harness

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
