Spectrum is seeking a talented general clerk to provide support for our customer located in Jacksonville, NC. In this role you will serve as an Assistant Education Coordinator performing multiple clerical duties while working with a diverse, high performing team of in the Graduate Medical Education Department.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

As our Assistant Education Coordinator, you will apply your administrative and clerical ability to support our customer’s program. Your typical duties will include:

  • Maintain records, files, and reports for residency and fellowship programs.
  • Prepare weekly status and management support reports
  • Coordinate and schedule correspondence, meetings, and clerkships

Requirements

Experience:

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry providing clerical and administrative support to administrators, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
  • Experience and familiarity with the Naval Medical Center organizational structure and functions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, technical and administrative correspondence, filing practices, and basic knowledge of developing and coordinating schedules.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with competent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access.
  • Knowledge of the handling, processing and disposition of highly confidential information.
  • Ability to type in excess of 40 wpm with < 2 errors per page.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

Education:

  • High School Diploma plus associate degree or equivalent years of experience.
