Job Title: General Labor - Shift 2

Shift Details: Schedule will be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 3:00 pm-11:30PM or till finish

Pay Rate: $14.50/hr

Important:

This role will mainly be lifting. Candidates need to be flexible for shift based on business needs.

OT:

They will have OT; this is as needed the site will ask the worker if they want to work OT.

Dress Code:

Because this is a food manufacturing facility No face piercings, no lashes, no nails, no makeup, no bracelets, no jewellery.

PPE: Contingent worker should bring a bump cap and steel toed slip resistant shoes. Client will supply the beard net, hair net, gloves and any other PPE.

Orientation: About 2.5 hours to go over GMP Practices and SOPS. Orientation is normally held during the week we would coordinate with site. Orientation is held for the different shifts. The contingent worker will start their shift after orientation.

Job details

Experience: Open to training a new contingent worker with no experience on the work at the facility.

The person will be cross trained in the following departments and should be ok being moved to these departments on a daily basis.

Cooler

Lift 50 lbs.

Cold climate (38 degrees) or could be 35-40 degrees Move product up to 200 lbs. (they are dragging/sliding) it with a hook on the floor.

The product is fluid milk, juice, tea, chocolate egg-nog cider fruit drinks, could be cottage cheese, sour cream. This is dairy location.

Case Room Area

Case Room (Summertime the climate is 80-90 degrees) Dragging empty cases off of pallets.

Will be using a manual pallet jack.

Lift 50 lbs.

Bagging Room

Climate 70-80 degrees

Lift 50 lbs.

May use a manual pallet jack.

Essential Job Functions

• Follow all safety procedures including wearing all required personal protective equipment
• Effectively and safely operate and maintain the assigned machine and all related equipment to ensure all daily orders are met. After the contingent worker has been working, they may be asked to learn different machines.
• Follow all standard work processes
• Verify wearing proper PPE before beginning their job.
• Monitor product to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded
• Complete "If down, do" list for this position when conditions dictate
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and legibly
• Maintain reliable attendance, including overtime as needed
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion
• Actively participate in Total Process Control activities
• Must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
• Accountable to the Client Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Basic math skills
• Effective written communication skills, including legibility
• Strong attention to detail
