Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a General Maintenance Tech for a contract-to-hire job with a client in Hartsville, SC. Responsibilities include performing plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC-related tasks, and maintaining a strict preventive maintenance schedule to ensure a safe and professional facility environment.
Rate Range: $23/hour to 28/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
General Maintenance Tech job responsibilities include:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility infrastructure, including walls, floors, doors, and plumbing systems.
Maintain and repair HVAC equipment, such as vent and circulation fans, and ensure timely filter changes and coil cleaning.
Conduct regular inspections of building interiors, exteriors, parking lots, and landscaping to uphold facility standards.
Respond to corrective maintenance requests, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
Assist with carpentry, painting, and general beautification tasks to maintain a professional and safe environment.
Document maintenance activities, complete reports, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of hands-on experience in general facility maintenance.
Proven ability to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and painting.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain a professional appearance.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour
