A well-established industrial manufacturing company is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily operations, financial processes, staff management, and organizational compliance. This role is ideal for a hands‑on operations leader with strong business acumen, financial literacy, and experience managing teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a full‑time, onsite leadership role, Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM and Friday 7:30 AM–11:30 AM. Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for leading all operational, administrative, financial, and HR functions to ensure organizational effectiveness. This leader maintains accurate systems and processes, manages vendor and customer relationships, supports employees, and oversees key operational metrics. The ideal candidate brings strong decision‑making skills, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to problem‑solve in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities Operations & Organizational Leadership Oversee daily operations, internal departments, and cross‑functional workflows. Establish annual machine and labor rates for costing. Maintain operational systems and ensure the accuracy of all business records. Act as ISO Internal Auditor and participate in Management Review processes. Support audits, licensing, regulatory compliance, and documentation management. Lead interactions with vendors, suppliers, and customers as the organization’s primary representative. Financial & Vendor Management Approve vendor invoices and ensure accurate reconciliation and traceability. Oversee credit card activity and expense reporting. Evaluate customer credit limits, approve payment terms, and monitor accounts receivable. Track sales fluctuations and provide insight to internal stakeholders. Review and manage utility contracts, service contracts, and insurance coverage. Customer & Stakeholder Support Resolve customer or vendor account discrepancies following established procedures. Participate in customer meetings and maintain strong external partnerships. Provide timely communication and high‑level customer service across departments. Human Resources & Staff Management Oversee AP, AR, purchasing, logistics, and administrative staff functions. Lead hiring, onboarding, employee record management, and compensation discussions. Maintain accurate payroll and employee information; support benefits‑related inquiries. Manage training requirements, performance discussions, corrective actions, and terminations. Coordinate staffing needs, interview candidates, and support team scheduling. Promote a positive work environment grounded in accountability, communication, and professional development. Requirements Required Qualifications 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, finance, or business administration. Strong financial literacy, including costing, AP/AR oversight, and credit evaluation. Experience managing HR functions such as hiring, onboarding, and employee relations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business/ERP systems. Excellent communication, decision‑making, and analytical skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and strong workplace relationships. Preferred Experience & Skills Experience in small to mid‑sized manufacturing environments. Familiarity with ISO processes, audits, and compliance requirements. Ability to manage multiple priorities with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented approach.
