The property also boasts top‑tier practice facilities, including a 400‑yard double‑sided driving range, 10,000 sq. ft. of putting surfaces, chipping and bunker areas, and a short course, making it a premier destination for golf in the region. We are seeking a dynamic, highly visible, and strategic leader to serve as General Manager/Director of Golf of our premier private club. The GM/Director of Golf serves as the Club’s chief executive, setting the tone for culture, service standards, and operational performance. This leader will drive strategic initiatives, oversee all club operations, and partner closely with the Board of Directors and Hampton Golf leadership to position the Club for sustained success and continued growth. What You Will Lead Full operational oversight of golf, clubhouse, food & beverage, facilities, and member programming Financial strategy, budgeting, and P&L performance Leadership and development of a high‑performing management team Member engagement and delivery of an exceptional private club experience Protection and enhancement of the Club's assets, reputation, and long‑term vision Required Background & Experience Minimum 5 years as a Head Golf Professional (HGP) or Director of Golf (DOG) at a private or semi‑private club Minimum 5 years of full P&L responsibility for a club or golf operation generating $3+ million in annual revenue Demonstrated success in financial stewardship, team leadership, and member satisfaction Qualifications BA/BS Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field. 5–7 years’ experience as General Manager, required. PGA/LPGA or CMAA, preferred. Possesses strong leadership, hospitality, and human relations skills. Professional appearance and demeanor in all exchanges. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to coordinate details and prioritize the work on a daily and weekly basis. Essential Responsibilities The General Manager/Director of Golf serves as the chief executive of the Club, responsible for the overall success, culture, and strategic leadership of all Club operations. This executive oversees all aspects of the member and guest experience, financial performance, and team engagement—ensuring the Club maintains its tradition of excellence while continuously evolving for the future. The position will manage all facility operations, including services, activities, and relationships between the facility, its members, team members, community, government, and industry. Reporting to Hampton Golf, the GM will coordinate and administer company policies and procedures, produce all reporting requirements in a timely manner, train team members, hold weekly meetings, direct department managers, communicate goals, implement and monitor the budget, and monitor the quality of products and services to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. The GM will also secure and protect assets, including financials, facilities, and equipment. Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the chief steward of the Club's mission, culture, and brand of excellence. Develop and coordinate long‑range and annual business plans. Work with a team to deliver an outstanding golf experience with first‑class playing conditions and service. Coordinate operating, cash‑flow, and capital budgets while monitoring the accuracy of financial statements. Review income and expenses relative to plans, implement corrective measures as needed, and report status weekly and monthly. Manage all accounting, inventories, banking, audit procedures, and cash flow; establish controls to safeguard funds and assets. Administer personnel policies and ensure proper hiring, training, supervising, development, and corrective action in accordance with labor standards, safety, and established policies. Ensure and oversee the development of operating procedures, shift checklists, and training manuals. Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints established by Hampton Golf. Develop and maintain a sound organizational structure. Monitor the performance of all daily operations, ensuring high standards and total customer satisfaction. Ensure accurate recording of hourly labor and timely, accurate payroll processing. Develop and implement emergency and safety procedures as defined in the manuals. Maintain active memberships in appropriate professional organizations. Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings to stay abreast of industry developments. Meet, greet, and welcome members, prospective members, and patrons. Advise or provide recommendations for capital improvements, supplies, and equipment. Ensure operational compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Maintain knowledge and compliance with all lease terms and contractual obligations. Oversee the care and maintenance of all physical assets and facilities. Participate in the formulation of annual and seasonal marketing and promotional plans. Coordinate and support marketing plans to recruit members and patrons. Ensure appropriate fee structures and the highest standards for club services are exercised. Diplomatically enforce all rules and regulations of Hampton Golf and the Club. Oversee and ensure quality tournament and instructional programs. Develop and monitor compliance with purchasing policies. Initiate programs to provide members with innovative functions, programs, and events. Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure the facility is safe, presentable, and courteous. Attend and participate in weekly departmental, executive, board, and committee meetings. Serve as ex‑officio member of committees. Coordinate written correspondence, reporting, newsletters, and manager's letters. Participate in outside functions and activities deemed appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. Benefits Salary Range: $140K – $160K, commensurate with experience; plus bonus potential.
