Meyer Jabara Hotels is searching for an experienced and talented General Manager with the ability to lead a team of hospitality professionals and create an exceptional experience for our guests at the Holiday Inn Express in Walterboro, South Carolina.

This position requires experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing, human resources, food and beverage, budget/forecast management, rooms, housekeeping and maintenance. The General Manager will join the hotel team in providing our guests with outstanding hospitality and themed destination experiences. This General Manager will be actively involved in the sales and marketing process.

  • Our culture requires a GM who sees their role as a coach/teacher/mentor who embraces learning.
  • The GM is a team builder with an open and participative management style.
  • Must develop heart connections with and develop the associates, who are respected at all levels for the care they give our guests.
  • Must be a leader that is willing to empower and mentor the associates; have above average associate satisfaction scores.
  • Able to write and implement strategic plans.
  • Be an effective communicator to associates and guests.
  • Must hold themselves and others accountable by focusing on performance and measurable results.
  • Understand the financial aspects of the business and have effective time management skills.
  • Possess financial acumen and have the ability to manage an entire financial statement.
  • Skilled in developing budgets and forecasts.
  • Able to generate positive cash income from all property assets.
  • Have a proven experience in effectively controlling operational costs and payroll.
  • Strong revenue management skills are required.
  • Have Human Resource management skills.
  • Focuses on continuous improvement on overall guest experience; have significantly above average guest satisfaction scores.
  • Uses good judgment and has high personal integrity with unquestionable ethical and moral standards.
  • Must be savvy in internet marketing strategies and social media.
  • Thinks long term as it relates to the market, economy and competition.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial attitude and work ethic coupled with an exceptional aptitude for strategic thinking and planning.
  • Understands the applicable operational departments of the hotel.


The company offers a full benefit package to include, medical, dental, vision,LTD,and life insurance, 401(K) with match, other voluntary benefits.


Must have 3 years experience as a hotel manager.
