Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Generalist Private Credit Analyst to join our investment team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work across diverse industries and credit products, including direct lending, mezzanine debt, and structured credit. As an Analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating, structuring, and managing private credit investments, working closely with senior professionals and contributing to the firm's overall investment strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of potential investment opportunities across various industries and credit products.
- Build detailed financial models to assess cash flow, debt capacity, and return profiles.
- Perform credit analysis, including financial statement reviews, risk assessments, and covenant analyses.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal investment committees.
- Assist in structuring, negotiating, and documenting credit transactions.
- Coordinate due diligence efforts, including legal, operational, and financial reviews.
- Work with external advisors and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
- Monitor and manage the performance of portfolio companies, tracking key financial and operational metrics.
- Evaluate covenant compliance, credit quality, and overall risk exposure of portfolio investments.
- Prepare periodic reports on portfolio performance for internal stakeholders and investors.
- Collaborate with management teams to address challenges and identify opportunities for growth or risk mitigation.
- Stay informed on market trends, economic developments, and industry dynamics affecting private credit markets.
- Conduct research to support sector-specific strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
- Contribute to the refinement of the firm's credit investment frameworks and strategies.
- Work closely with senior team members to execute transactions and manage portfolio assets.
- Participate in team discussions to brainstorm investment ideas and refine processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with coursework in financial analysis, accounting, or investment management.
- 1 3 years of experience in private credit, investment banking, fixed income, or related fields.
- Experience in credit underwriting, financial modeling, and risk analysis is strongly preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel.
- Solid understanding of credit analysis, loan structures, and fixed-income instruments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling presentations.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with credit databases and tools such as Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Self-starter with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
