Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer who builds real systems, not just demos.

This role is for someone who can design and deliver AI-native applications end-to-end, embedding LLMs, agents, and intelligent workflows into production environments.

You’ll work across software engineering, AI/ML, and system architecture, building solutions that operate at scale in mission-critical, regulated environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Build AI-native applications embedded in enterprise workflows
  • Design end-to-end systems (frontend, backend, data, AI layers)
  • Develop and deploy:
  • RAG pipelines
  • Agent-based architectures
  • LLM-powered services
  • Create scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Deliver secure, compliant AI solutions for federal environments
  • Optimize performance, cost, and reliability in production
  • Help define internal AI frameworks and accelerators
  • Mentor engineers and lead technical design decisions

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of full-stack engineering experience
  • 2+ years building AI-native or AI-first applications
  • Strong coding skills (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • LLMs (prompting, RAG, agents)
  • APIs and microservices
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • SQL/NoSQL + vector databases
  • Experience building secure, scalable systems (enterprise or federal)
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks
  • Familiarity with vector DBs (Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and IaC
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, FISMA
  • Federal experience or active clearance

What Success Looks Like

  • You deliver a production AI system used by real users
  • You build scalable RAG or agent-based architectures
  • You help establish reusable AI engineering patterns
  • You contribute to internal AI platforms and innovation

Who You Are

  • A builder who ships production systems, not just prototypes
  • A systems thinker who connects AI to real outcomes
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shaping architecture
  • A leader who can drive clarity across teams

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI systems in real-world environments
  • Influence the architecture of next-gen AI platforms
  • Join a high-performing, mission-driven team
  • Support impactful federal modernization efforts

If you’re building serious AI systems and want to work on problems that matter, we’d love to talk.
