We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geospatial Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be a key player in shaping the future of geospatial technology at HNTB, particularly in the context of planning and environmental review/compliance phases. You'll collaborate with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders to identify and solve complex challenges, often in the context of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Your expertise in ArcGIS Online, spatial analysis, and data management will be invaluable in developing geospatial solutions that inform decision-making and ensure regulatory compliance. Your leadership will be essential in guiding and mentoring a team of junior developers, ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge geospatial solutions that have a real effect on our communities and environment. What You’ll Do: Oversees and lead geospatial projects and solutions for complex business problems using GIS software and tools. Defines geospatial strategy and vision for clients and stakeholders. Designs and develops innovative solutions using advanced geospatial technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, etc. Provides technical expertise and direction for junior geospatial developers and analysts. Reviews and optimizes geospatial data and applications for quality, performance, and security. Provides support and troubleshooting for software and hardware systems that are used by other departments within an organization. Identifies new opportunities and challenges for GIS technology within an organization or industry sector. Works with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and deliverables. Performs other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 6 years of related experience, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Programming, or related field and 5 years of related experience, or In lieu of education, 10 years of relevant experience. What You'll Bring: Expertise: Advanced knowledge of geospatial concepts, including spatial analysis, map projections, coordinate systems, and data management. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage geospatial tasks effectively from start to finish. Task Management: Experience managing project budgets and schedules. Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. ArcGIS Online Proficiency: Proven experience in ArcGIS Online data management and workflows and experience using ArcGIS Online tools, including Experience Builder and Dashboards. Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Enthusiasm & Innovation: A passion for problem-solving and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in geospatial technology and solutions.
