Role: GIS Analyst

Location: City of Boynton Beach Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Duration: 6 month contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, manage, and analyze geographic and spatial data from various sources.
• Create high-quality maps, visualizations, and reports to support projects and decision-making.
• Perform spatial analysis to identify trends, relationships, and patterns in data.
• Develop and maintain GIS databases, including spatial and attribute data.
• Integrate GIS data with other software tools and business systems.
• Automate workflows using Python, SQL, or other scripting tools.
• Ensure GIS data accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other stakeholders to support GIS-related initiatives.
• Stay updated on new GIS technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, Mapbox).
• Experience with spatial analysis, geodatabases (e.g., PostGIS, Esri Geodatabases), and data visualization.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, or R for automation and data processing (preferred).
• Familiarity with remote sensing, GPS, and cartographic principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of GIS web applications (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Leaflet, OpenLayers) is a plus.
