Role: GIS Analyst

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Client Location: Huntington Park, CA

Hybrid: 2 or 3 times a week on-site

Job Description

Must have 5 years of experience in GIS

• Knows how to build a system from the ground up
• Work quick and efficient
• GIS data requirements- (Azure)
• 5 years of GIS experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other police departments is a plus

Position Summary:

• GIO validation data
• Map data
• Street center lines, common place, points of interest, muncipal, zone area and response boundaries (how far out are our office allowed to go out)

Position Context:

• This GIS Analyst will be focused on the police department Cad (computer aided dispatch) system. The GIS analyst will help give them a map of where specific vehicles are in the field and GPS of caller. There is currently no GIS. Someone will have to come in and build the system from the ground up. Motorola will provide training on how their system works. This GIS analyst will be needed to support with the implementation on the city side. There will likely be a need for two candidates to support with this. Once completed, there will be a need to support with the maintenance of what's built. ERP will tap into GIS system put in place. GIS system is Azure. Tap into serve to build our gis for water wells and waterlines.
