About the Position We are seeking a GIS Analyst Intern to join our growing team in New Orleans, LA for the summer. This paid internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate with a background in Urban Planning and/or Geospatial Sciences who is eager to gain hands‑on experience supporting real‑world, multidisciplinary projects. The selected candidate will work closely with our Planning and GIS professionals and receive mentoring and coaching from team members across various experience levels, including direct exposure to the GIS Director. This role offers meaningful project involvement—not just observation—and an opportunity to contribute to impactful work across multiple markets. Responsibilities Create StoryMaps, Hub sites, and web applications using ArcGIS Experience Builder Perform basic data analysis, including comparing and validating datasets Conduct data entry and geometry creation within GIS platforms Support digitalization efforts across planning and GIS projects Assist the GIS team with mapping, spatial analysis, and documentation tasks Collaborate with planners, engineers, architects, and asset management professionals on multidisciplinary initiatives This role provides practical exposure to federal and infrastructure‑related planning efforts while strengthening your technical and analytical skills. Knowledge & Experience Experience with ArcGIS Pro (strongly preferred) Familiarity with Excel for basic data analysis Exposure to CAD software (preferred but not required) Experience with ESRI products such as StoryMaps, ArcGIS Hub, or Experience Builder is a plus Note: Prior internship experience is not required.
