This role is vital for the seamless functioning of our GIS system and plays a crucial part in supporting our community and customers. This role is designed for individuals with a strong foundation in GIS, data collection, databases, and mapping. Your responsibilities will extend to project management and coordination of GIS initiatives, collaborating closely with the GIS Supervisor.


The Schedule:

This position is expected to work a hybrid schedule, working on-site three (3) days per week in a five (5) day a week schedule. Initially this role will be fully on-site until trained in our systems and processes. Flexibility in start and end times may be implemented after a discussion with the team leader.


The Day to Day:

GIS at the Core: We understand the significance of GIS in water utility, and we're committed to its effective use. As a GIS Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the operation, management, and maintenance of our GIS system.

Project Collaboration: Join us in coordinating and executing GIS initiatives, ensuring a smooth integration with all District systems and projects. You'll be one of our internal experts to handle GIS-related requests and take the lead on assigned projects.

Technology Focus: Work with the latest GIS software, databases, and mapping tools. Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications to meet District requirements and integrate seamlessly with other systems.

Field Data Contribution: Get hands-on by collecting field data using advanced survey and mapping equipment, contributing to maintaining our asset dataset.

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's license within 30 days of full-time employment and be insurable under District's standards.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Engineering, Land Surveying, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of full-time experience utilizing ESRI ArcGIS application suite and tools, with a minimum of two (2) years of GIS project management experience. Specific usage with ArcGIS Pro within the last year is highly desirable- at a minimum, candidates must have experience with ArcMap and be willing to learn and use ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise a plus
  • Experience with field work (GPS Technology) a plus
  • Must obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within the first two (2) years of employment.


Pay Range

The hiring range for this role is $81,166.51 to $97,399.81. The overall pay range for this role is $81,166.51 to $113,611.26. We are committed to recognizing and retaining high performing employees and have performance-based annual merit increases, cost of living adjustments and annual market evaluations to make sure we are paying competitively.
