Job Title: GIS Tech Job Description: OTD & CRC are seeking a self-motivated, reliable individual to work ON-SITE with the Coastal Regional Commission's GIS team. The role involves editing road centerlines and related characteristics. Coordination with local government entities to obtain data and verify road ownership may be required. This position is initially funded through the end of the fiscal year, with potential for renewal on July 1st. The candidate should have a working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS 10.x Desktop software and GIS principles. Must be detail-oriented, skilled in ArcGIS editing tools, and familiar with shapefiles, geodatabases, and GIS data validation. Ability to query databases, produce reports, create GIS maps, and communicate effectively is essential. Qualifications include a completed or near-completed four-year degree in GIS, Geography, or related field, and proficiency with ArcGIS 10.x. Preferred experience includes GIS data creation/editing and work with local government agencies. Salary depends on experience in transportation attribution activities.
