What you will be doing POSITION SUMMARY: Under general administrative direction of the Director, Global SAM/KAM Programs, responsible for managing the ongoing strategic business relationship between World Courier and designated strategic customer (s), within World Courier's Global Strategic Account Management (SAM) Program; responsible for leading the global development / maintenance of assigned accounts - increasing revenues and profits. This position is available on an office-based flexible (hybrid) working basis, with access to a World Courier office. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Builds and maintains strong customer relationships at the highest possible levels i.e., executive; seeks new and increased business opportunities within assigned accounts. Creates potential customer interest and establishes trust through the creation and communication of targeted value propositions. Develops and implements strategic account plans and deliverables to accommodate international, national, and regional business goals within assigned accounts. Collaborates with an extended global team of account managers assigned to the Global account(s) and all others necessary to the support successful outcomes of the strategic plan; communicates progress of the assigned account(s) to team, provides direction & support to develop local, regional, and global sales opportunities. Collaborate with Regional Marketing Specialists on Account-Based Marketing initiatives as needed. Determines and assigns tasks to team and tracks progress against the strategic accounts' plan(s). Gathers information, analyzes, and develops strategies concerning dynamics that may affect area of responsibility, such as changes in customer ownership, new affiliations, current market share and targets of opportunities for new growth, customers' changing requirements, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and continually communicates these strategies internally using updates to written business plans and ongoing business communication. Accountable for revenue and profitability objectives in specific assigned customer accounts. Reviews market analysis to determine customers' current and future needs. Oversees timely RFP process for assigned accounts. Responsible for delivering sales and related presentations and proposals to key customers, when required. Responsible for maintaining CRM platform for assigned key accounts. Responsible for providing communication of the Strategic accounts' progress to management and team on a bi-monthly basis. Extended team communication should take place quarterly. This may be modified by the Director, Global SAM/KAM Programs. Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, to meet sales objectives; must be willing to travel to events such as customer meetings, conferences, and national meetings. Assume 25% of your time will be spent travelling. What your background should look like EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of work experience. Normally requires a minimum of six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Experience at building and executing strategic account plans Orchestrates organizational resources Excellent Organizational & Project Management skills Demonstrated value-based sales record Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution with emphasis in specific segment sales and healthcare trends Working knowledge of sales management, sales planning and goal setting, successful strategic and consultative selling techniques, and related information Ability to lead large, value-driven pursuits Ability to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to changes in the marketplace Strong leadership skills Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, for the purpose of preparing reports and disseminating information Interpersonal skills sufficient to develop and maintain cooperative working and business relationships with others Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs What Cencora offers We provide compensation, benefits, and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members' ability to live with purpose every day.
