RTD Biosciences, a growing parenteral drug manufacturer located in Charleston, SC, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and performance of all GMP manufacturing equipment and critical facility systems supporting sterile compounding and aseptic filling operations. This includes both isolator and non-isolator fill lines in our state-of-the-art cleanroom suites.The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical systems maintenance within a regulated (GMP) pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment, and experience supporting utilities critical to sterile manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair GMP fill/finish equipment, including:Isolator and non-isolator aseptic fill linesStopper processors, vial washers, depyrogenation tunnelsLyophilization systemsPerform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on GMP support utilities, including:WFI (Water for Injection) systemClean steam generator and distribution systemReverse Osmosis (RO) water systemCompressed air system (clean/dry air)HVAC systems: RTUs, split A/C units, and chilled water systemsRefrigeration units: cold storage/freezers and walk-in coolersSupport calibration and preventative maintenance programs to ensure compliance with FDA and cGMP regulations.Assist with equipment validation, commissioning, and documentation.Maintain clear maintenance records and logs in accordance with GMP documentation standards.Collaborate with QA, production, and engineering to minimize downtime and maintain sterile integrity.Qualifications:3+ years of maintenance experience in a GMP pharmaceutical or clean manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.Familiarity with sterile manufacturing environments, cleanroom protocols, and aseptic processes.Experience with WFI, clean utilities, and refrigeration systems highly preferred.Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals.Comfortable working in a highly regulated and sterile-controlled environment.Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.Schedule & Compensation:Full-time | Monday – Friday with occasional weekend/on-call support/Will consider independent contractor hourly pay.Competitive compensation based on experienceBenefits package including health, dental, PTO, and advancement opportunitiesHow to Apply:Interested candidates should send a resume and brief cover letter to:Kerri@rtdbiosciences.comJoin a growing company committed to high-quality pharmaceutical manufacturing and cutting-edge technology in a cGMP environment.
