Position Title: Grant Writer
Position Type: Per Diem

Location: Toms River, NJ
Department: Development
Salary: $55.00 - $65.00/Hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Grant Writing and Proposal Development 
    • Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals and applications tailored to funder guidelines. 
    • Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather necessary data and information. 
    • Develop narratives that clearly articulate program goals, impact, and alignment with funder priorities. 
  • Funder Research and Cultivation 
    • Conduct thorough research to identify funding opportunities that align with organizational priorities. 
    • Maintain an up-to-date database of prospective current funders, including deadlines and submission requirements. 
  • Strategic Contribution 
    • Work with leadership to identify funding gaps and strategize approaches to meet financial goals. 
    • Stay informed about trends in philanthropy, public policy, and funding priorities. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred). 
  • Proven experience in grant writing, with a track record of securing funds from foundations, corporations, and/or government agencies. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management databases.
