Grants Manager Apply
The Grants Manager is responsible for finding funding opportunities for the organization and writing polished proposals to request grants or donations. It may also include developing relationships with major donors and foundations to ensure a good relationship between the organization and the funder.
Primary responsibilities
Work collaboratively with a team to generate funds for the organization
Become aware and passionate about the work we do
Understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of the organization
Locate potential funding sources
Research deadlines, whether funder funds the services provided by the organization and processes of each funder to be sure we are meeting their expectations
Maintain positive relationships with potential and recurring funders
Maintain careful records of the timeframe of when proposals need to be submitted while ensuring the timing includes all prerequisite needs for the proposal
Clearly communicate the needs of the organization and write each proposal in a clear and compelling manner
Ensure that every question in the application has a clear and compelling response
Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate information
Use initiative to continually improve your efforts and prepare the best requests possible
Requirements - Skills and Qualifications
Grant writing experience required
Minimum of Bachelors degree preferred
Working knowledge of computers, MS office, using the internet to access the web
Ability to write clearly and in a detailed but succinct manner
Ability to understand question prompts and respond clearly and fully
Ability to multi task
Ability to prioritize tasks, to complete needed work within time frames that can sometimes be tight
Friendly personality with ability to make connections with donors and to explain the work of the organization, its staff, and partners in the community
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and stand for shorter periods.
Hours expected are 20-25 hours per week
Salary range $20-$24 dependent upon experience and qualifications

Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels is a nonprofit with ten years experience in helping to support, guide, and lift families out of homelessness and into safe housing, gainful employment, and independence. We partner with 20 local congregations to provide safe and welcoming overnight housing accommodations families experiencing homelessness that are being provided with case managed services by our Social Worker, with support from the community.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 24 per week
