Full job description Scanlan International, Inc. has an exciting opportunity to join our company as a Graphic Designer. This position works on site at our corporate office south of downtown St. Paul, MN where we welcome an in‑office work environment Monday - Friday. Scanlan is a family‑owned medical device company specializing in the highest quality surgical instruments since 1921. As a member of the Marcom team, you will wear many hats and be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of the art supporting product packaging materials. Additionally, you will assist with printed literature and sales support materials, including catalogs, brochures, mailers, and other promotional materials. Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions 45% Label packaging and development Development and updating of art supporting product packaging materials. Layout, design, and processing of product IFU’s (instructions for use) for various medical products. Development, editing and processing labels for box, pouch, and secondary labeling. Designing and updating custom EZ Tag labels based on customer requests. 45% Layout and design of print and digital Design printed literature and sales support materials – including corporate catalogs, brochures, mailers, and other promotional materials. Production of marketing graphics for social media, exhibit displays, special promotions, advertising, and general marketing support. Editing of digital photos to support marketing programs. 10% Miscellaneous tasks Maintain and update storage of data – primary and backup/redundancy systems. Maintain/updating hardware and software to keep systems current and functioning. Report and communicate to Sr. Director of Marketing Communications with review programs, status updates, prioritization of production, deadlines, new programs and objectives. QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma required. Degree in Graphic Design / Interactive Design would be preferred. Experience 5+ years of experience in design & graphic production – label/packaging design, print and pre‑press production. Strong working knowledge of fundamental design tools, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat). Skills Demonstrate skills as a creative conceptual thinker and problem solver. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Effective oral and written communication. Excellent organizational skills.
