Job Summary The GUI Configuration Specialist I is part of the Passenger Experience/Creative Services Team responsible for supporting the creation, configuration, and layout of graphical elements that make up the Graphical User Interface (GUI) for airline In-Flight Entertainment systems. This role works under the guidance of the GUI Configuration Specialist II and UX/UI Designers to implement approved designs using RAVE Aerospace’s proprietary RIM tool. The GUI Configuration Specialist I assists in configuring widgets, arranging graphical assets, applying branding elements, and validating layouts to ensure alignment with design intent and airline brand standards. This individual follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contributes to the timely preparation of GUI assets for monthly content integration cycles. Duties and Responsibilities Configure graphical user interface elements using predefined design specifications and configuration options. Assist UX/UI Designers and GUI Configuration Specialist II in implementing widgets and Home Screen layouts. Apply branding elements including color values, typography, imagery, and layout positioning according to design direction. Support management of GUI dependencies related to Content Management Systems (CMS), including configurable and updateable assets (video, audio, imagery, metadata). Ensure translation elements are applied accurately under supervision and validate against provided requirements. Use CMS tools as part of daily workflow to update and manage GUI-related assets. Perform quality checks to confirm the GUI matches approved design intent before integration. Participate in internal design review sessions and incorporate feedback from stakeholders. Prepare and organize graphical assets for integration and developer use. Assist in Software Verification Tests to confirm GUI deployment and display performance. Follow documented Standard Operating Procedures for RIM tool usage and configuration workflows. Stay informed on basic UI design principles, digital design trends, and airline branding standards. Support team members with additional job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent practical experience. 0–2 years of experience in digital design, UI configuration, or related role (internships or academic projects acceptable). Portfolio demonstrating understanding of visual layout and design principles (college portfolio acceptable). Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and digital interface design. Experience working in collaborative team environments is a plus. The starting pay range for this position is $25.00/hr to $29.00/hr, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
