Position Summary:
Performs supervisory and manual tasks to assure proper operation and maintenance of assigned areas and equipment in accordance with local, state, and department policies. Answers emergency calls and is available to help repair breakdowns of assigned areas. Plans and implements new projects relating to turf, irrigation, and outside facilities. Plows snow and maintains safety on all sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways. Trains and supervises employees, creates a monthly budget and work schedules.
Pay Grade: 108
Qualifications
Experience: Five to six years of responsible grounds maintenance experience involving repair, alteration, construction, and operation including supervisory experience.
Special Requirements
Education/Training: Equivalent to a high school diploma plus documented specialized course work or experience in horticulture, turf management, landscaping, building maintenance or related field. Licenses: Valid Driver's License & Commercial Pesticide License
