JOB TITLE: Grounds Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Grounds Supervisor is responsible for the management of all
maintenance activities for Good Counsels grounds, gardens, athletic fields, parking lots, storm
water management infrastructure, and stadiums. Responsibilities include planning, organizing,
and directing the day-to-day work programs and grounds crew to ensure an aesthetically
beautiful campus that is clean and accessible for daily operations. Responsibilities also include
coordination of grounds maintenance work activity with other School departments.

SUPERVISOR/MANAGER: The Director of Physical Plant
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, develops, prioritizes, and manages efficient and economical grounds maintenance
- Guides, trains, and gives technical assistance to employees engaged in daily grounds
- Inspects completed assignments to ensure that satisfactory work quality, operating
- Monitors and supervises work done by contractors to maintain quality assurance.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Five (5) years experience in large scale horticulture, agriculture, nursery or landscaping
organization or company.
Extensive familiarity with all landscape equipment including but not limited to mowers,
blowers, aerators, shovels, etc.
Three (3) years experience in a supervisory role.
Ability to obtain Pesticide Applicator License.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
The annual base salary range is $62k - $75k, commensurate with experience. Good Counsel
offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability
insurance, a 403(b)-retirement savings plan, tuition remission (after three years), daily lunch,
accrued vacation and sick time, and school holidays.

high school in Olney, Maryland. It is in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington.
