Job Description and Duties
Post & Bid: This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire.
The reporting location for this position is Lake Perris State Recreation Area in Perris, CA. This position will work under the supervision of Park Maintenance Supervisor.
The incumbents work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the Groundskeeper position. The Groundskeeper will perform various grounds keeping tasks for Lake Perris and Wildwood Canyon, and will work in collaboration with the State Park Superintendent, Environmental Scientists, and other maintenance staff. The groundskeeper may be asked to provide support to other park units within the district as necessary.
This position requires a valid Class C drivers license. You must answer the questions addressing your drivers license on your application. Ensure you provide your drivers license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Working Conditions
Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions. Outdoor work is common. Typical work activities involve frequent and prolonged periods of standing and walking. Heavy physical work is required. Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 60 pounds. Must maintain uniform and adhere to the uniform grooming standards.
