The Group Sales Manager plays a key role in driving revenue and building lasting relationships by securing group and corporate opportunities for the hotel.This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and partnering with internal teams to ensure every guest experience reflects the distinctive character and service standards of Heathman Hotel.Requested TasksGenerate new business through proactive sales efforts including prospecting, networking, and client outreachDevelop and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, travel planners, and event organizersRespond to inquiries, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts for group bookings and eventsConduct property tours and presentations for prospective clientsPartner with Convention Services and Catering teams to ensure smooth event planning and executionMaintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions within sales systemsMonitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunitiesParticipate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the propertySupport departmental revenue goals and overall hotel sales strategyAdhere to Makeready's Guiding PrinciplesPerform additional duties and assignments as requiredRequested CapabilitiesPrior experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, or business development preferredExperience in group sales, corporate sales, or event sales strongly preferredStrong relationship-building and negotiation skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and sales management systems preferredProfessional, polished, and guest-focused demeanorAbility to stand and walk throughout the property during client tours and eventsAbility to occasionally lift objects up to 25 pounds related to sales materials or event setupAs part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits for eligible team members including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits.
