JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Auria Group Manager (AGM) is responsible for propagating the Auria culture and providing assistance, mentoring, and coaching to members of their Auria staff working on the Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) program. The Auria Group Manager will support their staff while coordinating directly with the management team located in the Auria Corporate Office in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as well as the contract functional managers for each of their team members. The following responsibilities are in addition to those associated with the contract position held by the Auria Group Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES (To include but not limited to):

  • Agile Coaching Exchange: Based on performance information gathered from each staff member as well as their functional manager, informally document an employee’s achievements, work performance, goals and challenges on a semi-annual basis with a formal documentation. During this process provide coaching and mentoring for the overall success or your employees.
  • Time Keeping: Ensure that each staff member completes their time sheet on a daily basis. Review and approve the time sheet of each staff member every other week.
  • Staff Meetings: Attend monthly staff meetings held by the Executive Vice President and communicate information to Auria staff as appropriate. It is preferred that this information is communicated in person rather than through email.
  • Employee Care: In addition to the above duties, the Auria Group Manager is the main source of coaching, mentoring, and development of the staff. The manager is expected to maintain face-to-face contact with each staff member on a routine basis. The Auria Group Manager is the employee’s first stop for any questions involving payroll, Human Resources or security.
  • Staff Performance: The Auria Group Manager ensures staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as appropriate; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards as set forth by the contract and/or Auria Corporate Policies.
  • Employee On-boarding: Prior to a new employee’s first day, meet with the acquiring functional manager to ensure the new employee is expected, planned, and has an assigned workspace. Meet with new employees on their first day and ensure they are introduced to their functional manager and get settled into their new work environment. Follow-up with the new employee’s functional manager within the first 30 days of employment to check on new employee performance, answer questions, and ensure employee is embedded and working well within the team. Provide written feedback to HR on the new employee’s initial performance.
  • Company Growth: Continuously seek out new on-contract staffing opportunities for Auria and communicate said opportunities to the Auria corporate leadership.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This is an additional role for someone currently working on the PTES program for Auria.
  • Experience in Satellite Communications operations and planning in an agile environment. 
  • MILSATCOM domain experience.
  • Managerial/Leadership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
