CoE Lead / Governance Lead Strategic Provider Operations This is a build-and-operate governance leader role for a live, partially mature Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. This position requires a hands‑on builder to design governance frameworks, processes, and playbooks from scratch and implement structure while vendors are actively operating. The objective is to establish a Center of Excellence (CoE), ensure all assets are documented, and facilitate a clean handoff to the permanent team. Key Responsibilities Define the purpose, scope, operating model, and governance structure for the MSP Excellence CoE, including communication hierarchies and escalation paths. Build and document standardized operational playbooks for Service Level Agreement (SLA) management, invoice validation, contract changes, and vendor issue management. Create and manage meeting cadences, standard templates, and a standards council for decision‑making. Assess current governance maturity, identify gaps, and define a roadmap for improvement. Standardize governance processes across multiple vendors to reduce inconsistency and siloed execution. Develop and deliver training and onboarding materials for internal teams and new providers. Support the alignment of processes with governance tools, such as Sirion. Document all CoE assets, standards, and processes for the permanent team to own and operate independently. Required Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree is required. Experience: 10+ years in consulting or enterprise roles designing and operating CoEs or governance functions for technology services. Experience must include MSP/vendor governance in a multi‑vendor environment, managing large outsourcing contracts, and hands‑on process and playbook development. Candidates must be comfortable with ambiguity and working in a "moving train" environment where governance is being built mid‑flight. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CoE design, Service and Integration Management (SIAM) standards development, and process and playbook creation. Experience with documentation tools is necessary. Preferred Qualifications Experience with governance tools such as Sirion or GovernX. Background in a Vendor Management Office (VMO) or supplier performance management role. SIAM, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent certifications. Strong facilitation and instructional design skills. Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate Range: $75.00/hr - $88.00/hr. This employer is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability. #J-18808-Ljbffr
