Job Title: Guidewire Jutro Technical Lead (Frontend)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Jutro Technical Lead to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of a digital insurance portal built on Guidewire Jutro. The role requires strong hands-on frontend development expertise, ownership of UX/UI components, domain-driven frontend architecture, and secure integration with Guidewire PolicyCenter services.

The ideal candidate will act as the onshore technical lead, coordinating across PolicyCenter product teams, UX designers, and backend API/integration teams, while maintaining direct development ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture Frontend

• Define and own Jutro component architecture, theming strategy, and extensibility model
• Establish standards for state management, Guidewire security, performance, and scalability
• Drive best practices for frontend architecture aligned with enterprise standards

Integration & APIs

• Collaborate with PolicyCenter Integration Leads to consume REST APIs and Integration Gateway endpoints
• Ensure robust error handling, retries, logging, and observability for portal-to-service interactions
• Support secure authentication and authorization using JWT and related mechanisms

User Story Delivery

• Partner with Business Analysts and client stakeholders for requirement clarification and refinement
• Design, develop, unit test, and deliver user stories with high quality and predictability
• Perform code reviews for offshore teams and validate deliverables prior to client releases

UX, Accessibility & Design Governance

• Work closely with UX/design teams to implement accessible, responsive, and brand-consistent user experiences
• Drive localization strategy, content modeling, and design system governance
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG)

Quality & CI/CD

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for frontend builds, unit testing, and deployments
• Enforce coding standards, security best practices, and performance benchmarks
• Support cross-browser compatibility and performance testing

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Translate business requirements into technical epics and implementation plans
• Coordinate with offshore teams, manage scope, risks, dependencies, and technical debt
• Act as a key technical point of contact for client and internal stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• 7 10 years of frontend development experience
• 3+ years working with Guidewire Jutro, design systems, or component libraries
• Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire Jutro, React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience consuming REST APIs, working with JWT, and CI/CD pipelines
• Expertise in performance profiling, accessibility, and cross-browser testing
• Insurance domain experience with Agent or End-User portals (Quote, Bind, Endorsement)
