EgyBell is hiring a Hardware Engineer for a leading Tech-based & E-Mobility Solutions provider. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in electronics and a passion for sustainable technology. You will be a crucial part of ensuring our battery swapping stations and batteries are robust, safe, and ready for deployment. Key Responsibilities Pre-Deployment Inspection (PDI): Conduct comprehensive quality control checks and functional tests on new battery swapping stations and battery packs. Deployment Support: Assist with the physical installation and configuration of battery swapping stations at various customer sites. Collaborate with field technicians and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware integration, network setup, and initial system validation. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks on deployed stations and battery packs to maximize uptime. Diagnose and resolve hardware faults, including circuit board-level issues, component failures, and system-level malfunctions. Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to isolate and troubleshoot problems efficiently. In-house Repair & Rework: Execute precision repairs on returned units, including soldering and de-soldering of electronic components. Perform component-level rework and thorough testing to restore units to a fully operational state. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of all PDI, deployment, and repair activities in internal systems. Contribute to the creation and refinement of technical documentation, repair logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience: 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in a hardware-focused role, with a background in electronics, power systems, or related fields. Technical Skills Strong understanding of batteries, particularly lithium-ion chemistries, and associated Battery Management Systems (BMS). Good knowledge of embedded systems and hardware design. Skills in manual soldering and de-soldering techniques. Skilled in using electronic diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies for fault isolation. Practical experience troubleshooting both hardware and related embedded software issues. Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem‑solving.
