Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electronics Hardware Engineer to support a client in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This role is responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of electronic hardware used in advanced engineering and scientific applications.

The engineer will work across the full hardware development lifecycle, from board-level design through system-level integration and validation. This position requires hands-on experience with embedded systems, PCB design, FPGA development, and RF hardware, as well as collaboration with software engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic hardware, including test control apparatus and related systems
  • Create schematics, PCB layouts, and fabrication drawings to support manufacturing
  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and complete systems
  • Perform hardware qualification and validation by developing and executing test plans and procedures
  • Support embedded microprocessor-based system design and integration
  • Develop and support FPGA-based hardware solutions
  • Apply RF design principles across the full product lifecycle
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to ensure proper hardware/software integration
  • Follow industry standards, processes, and tools throughout the system development lifecycle


Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • High-level experience in electronic hardware design and development
  • Strong experience designing and developing PCB boards
  • Hands-on experience with embedded microprocessor systems
  • Experience developing or supporting FPGA-based hardware
  • Strong understanding of RF hardware design
  • Experience supporting full lifecycle manufacturing, from design through validation and integration
