What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
- Associate degree required and bachelors degree in process
- One (1) year inpatient or outpatient Behavioral Health setting preferred
- One (1) year experience in medical records systems
- RHIT Certified Coding Specialist preferred
How you will make a difference (job overview):
The Health Information Systems Coordinator provides administrative and record keeping support for the medical records of all clients. Various computer and non-computerized audits and reports are prepared regularly. Audit charts and creates reports on deficient items. Activities are performed under general supervision but position functions independently. Accuracy and timeliness are essential as they may affect legal liability to the facility. Regular interaction with all staff members, physicians consultants, Corporate outside agencies and the public. Demonstrates mastery of EMR for all day-to-day service activities. Coordinates all activities of the Health Information Department and completes concurrent monitoring of medical records documentation. Responsible for and/or implements and continues of CQI monitoring systems. Participates in committees (CQI, Safety, UR, EMR).
Division/Program Overview:
- A comprehensive mental health in patient residential facility for adolescents
- Serving up to 60 adolescents (ranging from ages 12-17) statewide
- Intensive residential services dedicated to serving clients with serious mental health problems with the highest dignity and quality of services since 1988
- Programs: Psychiatric Health Facility, Community Treatment Facility and Non-Public High School 24/7 locked facility
- Multidisciplinary Mental Health Services, Therapeutic Behavioral Health Services, and Intensive Day Treatment Program
